The current situation in the world has affected us all. It's been difficult to know what is best with the information constantly shifting, but one thing that has remained at the core of how we have responded to it is one of safety. With that in mind, we have made the difficult decision to close down our current location that is simply too large to manage with ethical classes. It is important to us to continue building and supporting the HEMA community, but we want to be sure we can do so with smaller classes with safe protocols that will allow AHWG to continue.
We have been searching for a new home, but as with everything being complicated currently, it has taken longer than desired, but fear not! We have some great leads and are in the process of negotiating what's best for our students, our school, and our community. Keep an eye out for announcements regarding a new space! In the meantime, we will be continuing the online training portions of our program as well as offering park sessions. Our website is getting a facelift to reflect these class options and we will be implenting a new tool called Gym Master to better serve our students, so be sure to check that out as well as register.
(if only Austin parks were that green -- and that shaded)
It is our greatest wish to support all of you who have been so supportive of us over this crazy journey. We want you to know that we will continue to do our best to keep you safe, keep you informed, and keep you ready with the blade! As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Yours in HEMA,
